Ninja Cat
Ever hear that you influence the personality of your pets? Well, when I heard this, I laughed. This made perfect sense in relation to our pets and our family. Put it simply, all our pets have been psychotic. I think hands down the most crazy, most insane was our cat, Miss Mitten's.Miss Mitten's did all of the usual things that cats do. She liked to crawl under rugs, lounge in our dish rack, sit under books and papers. Strings, elastics and ribbons were all appreciated. Loved to jump in all kinds of bags, boxes and my knee high boots. However, Miss Mitten's also had an alter ego that I eventually came to name Ninja Cat. Eventhough the Ninja Cat had weeks even months between appearances, she came on suddenly and without warning. Her eyes would become liquid black squares, ears would slick back and her tail would puff out to it's fullest extent. Ninja Cat when unleashed was a terror in the shadows, a flash of swatting tail in the night and a holy nightmare for our Airedale terrier, Quil.
Ninja Cat would stalk her attacks, from the shadows watching and waiting until the unsuspecting human or Quil played into her paws. She struck with lightening speed and pounced. Running up behind you she'd fly at you with paws waving then latch on and quickly paw you up and down your leg while biting your knees and wrapping her tail in a snake like manner that always felt freaky. Then using you as a spring board she'd scampered down the hallway, down and up the stairs around the kitchen and livingroom bouncing off of walls, furniture and Quil alike.
But, Quil was the favourite target, receiving special attention from Ninja Cat...I remember once how a very unsuspecting dog laid curled up in the hallway when all of the sudden Ninja Cat! Running up to Quil, she promptly jumped on Quil's back and bite her on the neck. Quil shot up and tried to remove the crazy cat, but Ninja Cat was too quick. All of the sudden Ninja Cat was attached to Quil's face and biting her nose. Quil howled in pain and shook her head with all her might trying to dislodge her tormenter. However, Ninja Cat was again too clever, she dug her claws in deeper and held on until springing off and into the shadows of the night.

Crazy cat! Is there anything to the fact that Miss Mittens came from my household? ;)
